Artist Statement and Resume
Mi performatividad explícita surge a partir de realidades que durante mucho tiempo permanecieron inaccesibles. Al reencontrarme con ellas, se transforman en una fuerza disruptiva, dirigiéndolas contra el autodesprecio y contra imposiciones coloniales del pudor. Estas realidades las reencuentro en los detalles íntimos de fragmentos urbanos y naturales. Mis piezas sincretizan incomodidad y deseo para construir relatos que cuestionan el acto de percibir a través de elementos autorreferenciales.
My explicit performativity emerges from realities that for a long time remained inaccessible. Upon re-encountering them, they become a disruptive force, turned against self-contempt and against colonial impositions of modesty. I rediscover these realities in the intimate details of urban and natural fragments. My works syncretize discomfort and desire to construct narratives that challenge the act of perception through self-referential elements.
